The Course Pilot
A curriculum map tells you what to build but it doesn’t show you how. You’ve done the thinking. Maybe through a consult, perhaps on your own. Either way, you now have a mapped pathway, a named method, and a clear list of tangible outputs each stage should produce. And then you sit down to build the first module, but the questions start:
- How much theory goes into the first question?
- What does it look like on a page or platform?
- How do I know the learner has ‘got it right?’ when I’m not there?
- How do you sequence a single stage so it builds towards an output instead of just explaining around it?
- How do I know if what I’ve built is right, before I’ve built the rest of the pathway, mistakes and all?
Knowing the destination doesn’t lay the first stretch of road. Many experts, coaches, consultants and specialists will either freeze here, or start building on instinct, and end up right back where they started, content that explains, instead of a pathway that produces a result. The answer?

Clear direction on how to take the pattern from phase one and apply it to phases two to however many. You won’t be given the template and left to figure it out alone.

A very specific checklist of what you need to include in every other phase going forward, so nothing is missed, the outputs are mapped and the final deliverable achieved.

What is The Pilot?
The first practical build phase of your online programme. We take the first stage of your mapped pathway and build it out in full, creating a finished, ready to use module that shows your framework in action. You then use this module as the working template for building everything that follows.
Why build one phase rather than the whole programme?
Knowing what your programme should contain isn’t the same as knowing how each phase will work. Building one phase properly first lets you test the structure, sequencing, prompts and learner experience before you repeat the pattern across the rest of the programme.
Do I need to have completed the Course Consult first?
No. The Pilot works from a mapped pathway and a signature method, but these don’t necessarily have to come from the course consult. If you’ve already done the thinking yourself, and have a clear curriculum map, we can work from that. If you need help getting to that point, the course consult can provide the structure first.
What exactly do you build for me?
We build the first phase as a complete guided learning experience. This includes the delivery (platforms and tech will be discussed) to move the learner through the stage towards its tangible output.
Will the first phase be built on my online learning platform?
Yes. The first phase is built as a working module on your platform so you can see how your programme works in practice rather than receiving a document or collection of recommendations.
What happens after the first phase is built?
You won’t simply be handed the finished module and left to work out the rest. Alongside the build, we document the structural pattern behind it, and give you clear guidance on how to apply that pattern to the remaining phases, including what should stay the same, what needs changing, and where the structure may need to be adapted. You’ll be able to contact us by email or WhatsApp for 90 days after The Pilot while you build out the rest.
